Stewardship: Using Wisdom, Influence and Resources for Good

Wisdom plays an important role in stewardship. It helps us move beyond short-term thinking and consider the lasting effect of our choices. A wise approach asks: Will this decision bring healing? Will it strengthen relationships? Will it benefit others as well as ourselves?

True influence is not simply about being seen or heard; it is about how we use our voice. A person may have a platform, a position, or a network, but the greatest impact comes when influence is guided by humility and compassion. The most meaningful leaders often lead by serving, listening, and creating opportunities for others to grow.

Resources also form part of stewardship. Money, skills, time, knowledge, and connections are all valuable. When used wisely, they can become tools for encouragement, innovation, community support, and transformation. Wealth is not only about what we accumulate, but about the positive difference we help create.

Servanthood reminds us that leadership is not about standing above others, but walking alongside them. It is about recognising the value in every individual and understanding that small acts of kindness and integrity can have a lasting ripple effect.

When we choose to serve with purpose, communicate with care, and act with integrity, we create a legacy that reaches beyond ourselves. Stewardship is more that managing resources; it is about recognising the responsibility that comes with our gifts, opportunities, influence, and relationships.

Healing relationships. Rebuilding trust. Inspiring change.
