The initiative was launched as Healing Relations TV in 2007 by the owner Jennifer Valentine,  former sportsperson, actress, theatrical director and writer/author.

Jennifer also worked within the Local Authority’s civil service supporting the unemployed at the then Unemployment Benefit Office, and in the BBC’s personnel department during the 1980s–1990s, as well as studying to become a support in acting, theatrical directing, and sport. In early 2002 she spent a short period with The Learning Trust in Hackney, and was involved in their Hackney Student Mentoring Programme. In 2021, Jennifer received the George Cross local recognition alongside the National Health Service, for “adapting to change and providing an NHS service” during the pandemic. Jennifer was also elected Trustee for Iprovision (2022 to 2025) a charity supporting unemployed and retired PR practitioners.
